This game was so unsettling, and it was awesome! I loved how it experimented with the tropes typically found in horror games, and with the idea of what truly scares people.

Thanks, and yes, playing around with the idea of "scare anticipation" is always one of my favorite concepts to tackle.

Great quick casual horror game, I always dig your stuff, this one was quite charming in its own right. I made a Lumps Play

Thank you! ๐Ÿ˜„

I'm glad you got the Harlan Ellison's quote. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I'm going to release something in the same style of Widemare.

Stay tuned.

This is a really cool and simply little horror game. I had never played a game like this before, and didn't know what to expect when I started it up. But I was really surprised by the end in how this game presents the horror element, with text. The game itself is very simple, but the way it makes you think is really cool. There isn't much to graphics but that's not what this game is about. The writing is simply and well done, and the sound design is excellent in working with the writing. I did a video on my experience with the game if anyone is interested in seeing what this game is about.

DON'T TURN AROUND | Widemare

Thank you for the cool video, I liked it a lot, really!
You completely got the point of the game. That was just how it was supposed to be played.
Widemare requires an active thinking about what you're told.
I'm glad you liked its concept. I feared it was a bit too experimental, but it seems it worked out great.
Thank you again!

P.S. Let me be hilariously clear, "saltire" would have been too weird, so wikipedia gave me the green light ๐Ÿ˜‚: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cross
