The hair in the wall - Redux

That scary obsession is back...

"The hair in the wall - Redux" is a completely revisited edition of that "The hair in the wall" I released back in 2016.

In this edition you will find:

  • expanded story;
  • higher resolution;
  • widescreen support;
  • reworded texts;
  • hidden clues (?);
  • new screens;
  • new sounds;
  • new revised ending sequence;
  • various fixes and enhancements.

"You've just moved in.
New house. New job. New life.

While you were putting up some shelves down the basement,
you noticed something odd:

a hair in the wall."

Thus begins a steep descend into madness and obsession.

A short horror experience inspired by Junji Ito's works, Silent Hill series, and David Lynch's visuals.

This was a pretty cool redux. I enjoyed the original quite a bit, so I really liked playing this and the original back-to-back, and I really liked that this was also a bit of a continuation of the original, and not just a redux of it.

(+1)

Thanks for trying the Redux version too! And yes, I wanted to expand the original concept a bit and give it a different twist.

(+2)

This was great man. Played it once and felt like I saw some things through the corner of my eye, so played it a second time and caught 3 hidden clues. Great additions!

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. ๐Ÿ˜‰

This was weird. A good weird. I didn't know what to expect and I was not dissapointed!

Thanks for the video! ๐Ÿ‘
Just wanna let you know that I just released a new game called DAMASCUS CURRENT.
Check it out here:

Read the description and give it a spin! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thank you!
And yeah, that was one of the main reasons why I decided to rethink the ending sequence in a much more "exhaustive" way (story-wise).
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks again for the video! ๐Ÿ‘

Really fun and interesting game!!!

That scary obsession is back....and we are happy it is back.

We enjoyed the first one (did a video on our channel). We enjoyed the REDUX one even more (we only missed the screaming lady form the first one).

Keep up the good work!!!

(+1)

Thanks! ๐Ÿ‘
And well, the screaming lady was an abrupt way of ending the game's former version, and, as you may already know if you played any other horror-ish game of mine, I'm not really into jumpscares.
In fact, that lady was just a weird way to say "wake up, all your reality is a self-imposed dream to escape from the murder you committed".
Some liked it, many didn't. So, in this redux edition, I took the chance to expand and clarify the whole meaning behind that scream with a real "wake up" scene, a "descend into the madness" sequence, and a basement "revelation speech".
Anyway, thanks for your feedback, and thanks again for the video! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Help . . .

Of COURSE I had to replay this! The original game was one of my first Lumps Plays I ever made, and my first game I ever played made by you! So I only have fond memories and was super amped when I saw you did a Redux.

Anyhow—it's a great expansion. It expands and improves, without altering. It was also really neat for me to compare my original video and this video to see how I've improved myself. Thanks for this all around, I really enjoyed it and as always can't wait until your next thing :D Cheers!

Hello there, Lumps! ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿ˜œ
Words can't express how glad I am for your continued support and friendship!
You know, you can consider yourself a member of this weird "AP Productions" family... ๐Ÿ˜‚
As you said, you were one of the first let's players giving my games a chance.
We went through many up and downs...
But we're still here, and it's cool to see how much we've improved. ๐Ÿ‘
Thanks for again the video!
See you soon... ๐Ÿ˜‰

People said it couldn't be done but you've managed it, you created a horror game about a hair.

For it being a point and click game you succeeded in scaring me more than i thought possible when dealing with hair. The story telling is perfect too, like a well crafted drink it's neat with a delicious twist.

Hahaha... ๐Ÿ˜‚ you're right!
I'm glad you liked it! ๐Ÿ˜‰
Thanks for the video! ๐Ÿ‘

Thanks for showing us anythings possible!

I saw this and knew I had to play it, because I played the original. It was still pretty short, but I feel like it was a bit creepier then the original.

เธ…/แ ๏ฝกแ†ฝ๏ฝกแŸ \ ~Hello~

I'm glad you made a new  version for this!

 I remember playing the original game a while back, and seeing improvements in the dialogue along with additional content definitely gives this a more superior and stranger atmosphere than the original. The new backgrounds/environments was especially nice since, if I remember correctly, the original had very little changes in settings.

I do think it would've been nice to tweak the pacing a bit to add more tension, but at the same time I think this was well executed as you're sticking closely to the original story and formula without changing too much. Overall, I thought it was a nifty story and had a fun time reading it, so good job! I liked this.

Thank you!
And yes, my intentions were to keep the original impact and length, but with a quality overhaul.
I'm really glad you enjoyed it. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Thanks for the video! ๐Ÿ‘

Thanks! ๐Ÿ‘
And yeah, I tried to keep it short and sweet just like the original one.
But if you want more games like this (or a lot longer)... just have a look here:

I bet you'll find "one or two" (๐Ÿ˜‚) more to suit your taste... ๐Ÿ˜‰
Let me suggest you some other games I made, which are quite on this same genre:
